Terms & Conditions

Trek GVL is a premium, logistics-handled outdoor and social club for active adults in the Upstate. To protect the quality of the experience, maintain a committed member base, and operate events responsibly, all users, pass holders, and members are expected to read and agree to the following policies before joining, purchasing, or participating.

1. Membership Structure

Trek GVL may offer multiple levels of access, including a free Community tier, a paid Social Pass, and paid Premium Membership options.

The Trek GVL Community tier may provide limited access to public updates, select events, and introductory experiences.

The Social Pass and Premium Membership are paid access products offered on a fixed-term basis. Premium Membership is offered on a committed 6-month or 12-month term. Social Pass access is offered on the term presented at the time of purchase.

Trek GVL is not a month-to-month social subscription club. By purchasing a Social Pass or Premium Membership, you are reserving access within a limited-capacity experience platform and helping fund planning, hosting, logistics, vendor coordination, operations, and member infrastructure.

2. No Refund Policy

All paid purchases are final.

Trek GVL does not offer refunds, partial refunds, prorated refunds, charge reversals, or credits for unused time or unused benefits, including but not limited to the following:

  • change of mind

  • schedule conflicts

  • relocation

  • missed events

  • dissatisfaction based on personal preference

  • failure to use benefits

  • weather-related adjustments

  • changes in fitness, health, or availability

  • inability to attend due to personal or work obligations

Because Trek GVL operates on a limited-capacity model, each paid purchase reserves access within the Trek GVL ecosystem and supports ongoing planning and operational commitments. For that reason, all Social Pass and Premium Membership purchases are strictly non-refundable once completed.

3. What Access Includes

Access to Trek GVL may include invitations to events, member communications, hosted social experiences, curated outings, partner perks, early access opportunities, and other benefits offered during the applicable term.

Access does not guarantee attendance at every event, access to every outing, or eligibility for every experience. Some events may have limited capacity, separate fees, physical requirements, scheduling deadlines, third-party restrictions, geographic limitations, or other participation conditions.

4. Event Participation Requirements

Some Trek GVL events and activities may be physically demanding, weather-dependent, remote, time-sensitive, or operationally complex. Participants are solely responsible for selecting experiences that match their own fitness level, health status, experience, readiness, and judgment.

Trek GVL reserves the right to establish participation standards for any event, including age guidance, readiness expectations, equipment requirements, waiver requirements, arrival deadlines, conduct expectations, and event-specific instructions.

5. Gear and Equipment

Trek GVL does not provide shared member gear during its initial operating phase unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific experience.

If an event requires specialized gear or equipment, participants are responsible for bringing their own approved items or obtaining equipment through an approved third-party rental or provider source where available.

6. Waivers and Required Forms

Participation in Trek GVL events may require signed waivers, acknowledgments of risk, medical disclosures, media releases, or third-party provider agreements.

Trek GVL reserves the right to deny participation in any event if required forms, waivers, confirmations, or prerequisites have not been completed in full by the required deadline.

7. Third-Party Providers and Partner Experiences

Certain Trek GVL experiences may involve independent venues, outfitters, guides, farms, spas, transportation providers, instructors, or other third-party businesses.

Those providers may require separate bookings, separate fees, separate waivers, or compliance with their own rules and operational standards. Trek GVL is not responsible for the independent policies, actions, availability, or decisions of third-party providers.

Participation in third-party or partner-based experiences may be conditioned on compliance with all applicable provider terms.

8. Event Changes, Rescheduling, and Cancellations

Trek GVL reserves the right to modify, postpone, reschedule, reroute, relocate, or cancel any event due to weather, safety concerns, low attendance, venue limitations, guide availability, staffing, operational issues, partner changes, or other circumstances in Trek GVL’s judgment.

Event changes, substitutions, delays, or cancellations do not create a right to a refund of any Social Pass fee, membership fee, or related payment unless Trek GVL expressly states otherwise in writing for a specific event.

9. Member and Participant Conduct

Trek GVL is built around safety, respect, reliability, and group quality. All participants are expected to behave in a manner consistent with the standards of the club.

Participants are expected to:

  • arrive on time and prepared

  • communicate honestly about limitations or issues

  • respect hosts, leaders, partners, venues, and other participants

  • follow event instructions and safety expectations

  • avoid reckless, disruptive, abusive, harassing, dishonest, or unsafe behavior

Trek GVL reserves the right to refuse, limit, suspend, or terminate access, participation, or membership at its discretion if conduct is deemed unsafe, disruptive, abusive, dishonest, inappropriate, or inconsistent with the standards and culture of Trek GVL.

10. No Guarantee of Specific Outcomes

Trek GVL does not guarantee any particular social, emotional, professional, romantic, fitness, networking, or lifestyle outcome from participation.

Your experience depends in part on attendance, preparation, compatibility, effort, event selection, timing, and circumstances beyond Trek GVL’s control.

11. Media and Content Capture

Trek GVL may capture photo, video, or audio content during events for promotional, editorial, recap, marketing, or business purposes, subject to any separate release, waiver, or opt-out policy in effect for a given event or membership flow.

By participating in Trek GVL events, you acknowledge that media capture may occur unless otherwise stated.

12. Pricing, Discounts, and Promotional Offers

Trek GVL may offer different pricing structures, partner offers, founding rates, service-based discounts, or promotional campaigns from time to time.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, discounts may not be combined, are not transferable, have no cash value, and may be modified or discontinued at Trek GVL’s discretion.

Any service-based discount or promotional rate applies only to the offer stated at the time of purchase and does not create a future right to the same rate.

13. Policy Updates

Trek GVL may revise these policies, participation standards, operational practices, event procedures, or membership terms from time to time.

Continued use of Trek GVL services, access privileges, passes, or memberships after any update may constitute acceptance of the revised policies to the extent permitted by law.
