Discover Something Different

Your Greenville Social Life, Upgraded.

Trek GVL is Greenville’s premium outdoor and social club for active adults who want better experiences, better conversations, and a more meaningful way to connect offline.

We curate outdoor adventures, scenic socials, local culture, wellness-inspired experiences, and premium member events throughout Greenville and Upstate South Carolina. From trail walks, kayaking, horseback riding, waterfall outings, farm dinners, local markets, live music, outdoor festivals, vineyard escapes, and signature social events, Trek GVL is built for people who want more than random plans, flaky group chats, and the same weekend routine.

We plan the calendar, coordinate the logistics, and create hosted experiences that make it easier to show up, meet quality people, and do something worth remembering.

This is not just another meetup group. Trek GVL is a curated social experience platform designed for adults who value movement, nature, culture, wellness, and real-world connection.

Why Trek GVL Exists

Greenville has more to offer than most people ever experience.

There are trails, rivers, farms, lakes, mountain views, local makers, live events, hidden food spots, wellness spaces, and outdoor experiences all across the Upstate. But unless you know where to go, who to go with, and how to plan it, it is easy to fall into the same routine: downtown again, another dinner, another bar, another “we should do something soon” text that never turns into anything.

Trek GVL was created to fix that.

We bring people together through intentional, hosted experiences that feel natural, memorable, and easy to join. The goal is simple: help active adults build a better social life through shared adventure, local discovery, and real connection.

Find Your Pace

Our calendar is built around two distinct experience lanes so members can choose the energy, social rhythm, and style of connection that fits them best. Premium members have access to a private calendar just for them.

The Ascent Series

High-energy, adventure-forward experiences for members who want momentum, variety, and a stronger weekend life. This lane may include trail outings, kayaking, zip lining, waterfall adventures, live music meetups, market walks, festival nights, social hikes, and more active outdoor experiences.

The Basecamp Series

Premium-paced, scenic, and connection-driven experiences for members who prefer a more relaxed but elevated social setting. This lane may include farm dinners, vineyard-style outings, scenic walks, wellness experiences, horseback riding, curated dinners, local culture events, and slower-paced premium socials. Both lanes are built around the same idea: better people, better settings, and better reasons to get out of the house.

The Founder Story

Trek GVL was founded by Joel Green, a veteran, father, creative technologist, lifelong athlete, and former dance instructor who returned to the Upstate with a renewed appreciation for Greenville’s seasons, landscapes, and sense of place.

After years of studying health, movement, nature, grounding, sunlight, and the way environment shapes well-being, Joel became convinced that people do not just need more events. They need better rhythms. Better community. Better reasons to step outside and reconnect with real life.

His own experience with movement, outdoor time, wellness research, and social connection helped shape the foundation of Trek GVL. The idea was not to create another activity calendar. It was to build a more intentional way for adults to experience Greenville and the Upstate without having to plan everything themselves.

As a father, Joel also wanted to build something rooted in place, health, and community, something that reflects the kind of life many people are quietly craving: more sunlight, more movement, better conversations, less screen time, and stronger local connection.

Trek GVL is the result of that vision.

Built for Better Connection

Trek GVL is for adults who are tired of surface-level networking, dating-app fatigue, weak social plans, and doing the same things with the same people.

Our experiences are designed to make connection feel natural instead of forced. When people walk a trail together, share a meal outdoors, paddle across a lake, listen to live music, explore a farm, or take on a new adventure, conversation happens differently.

That is the point. We believe the best connections are not built by scrolling. They are built by showing up.

Curated, Hosted, and Intentional

Trek GVL handles the planning so members can focus on the experience.

Depending on the event, we may coordinate with local farms, outfitters, guides, venues, wellness providers, restaurants, music events, equestrian partners, kayaking providers, and other trusted third-party businesses across the Upstate.

Trek GVL does not try to own every activity. Instead, we curate the right mix of local partners, outdoor spaces, and social settings to create experiences that feel smooth, elevated, and memorable.

Limited First-Year Roster

To protect the quality of the experience, Trek GVL is limiting its first-year founding roster to 150 members.

This is intentional.

A smaller first-year community allows us to build the right culture from the beginning, maintain a higher standard for events, and create a stronger member experience before expanding. Trek GVL is not trying to become the biggest social club in Greenville overnight. We are focused on building the right one.

Experience Greenville Differently

If you are ready for better plans, stronger community, more outdoor adventure, and a more meaningful way to connect across Greenville and Upstate South Carolina, Trek GVL was built for you. Step outside. Meet better people. Experience the Upstate with intention.
